Joseph W. Gallaher

• Joe Gallaher graduated from Lafayette College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a minor in Civil Engineering. A longtime Washington D.C. area resident, Joe now splits time between SPCI's East and West coast offices. During his tenure at SPCI, Joe has placed almost 1,000 IBM systems programmers and system-level product developers, making him the leading recruiter in the world for this search specialty.  Prior to establishing SPCI he worked as a programmer, computer analyst, and technical writer for various East coast high-tech firms. 
  
  Joe has been a regular attendee of the Mid-Atlantic CICS Users Group and has served on the steering committee of the NaSPA Capital Area MVS Users Group. Additionally, Joe has taken classes in Local and Wide Area Networking (Johns Hopkins University), MVS Internals (ACTS Corporation), Assembly Language Coding (Montgomery College), JAVA Programming (UCLA), and Visual FoxPro (MEI). He has also completed both graduate and undergraduate level classes at Georgetown University, University of Florida, and USC.  In addition to his formal education, Joe has attended numerous SHARE and CMG conferences. Joe also serves as SPCI’s database administrator, network administrator, and webmaster. In his spare time he assembles and repairs PCs, sets up wired and wireless networks, and satisfies his fitness addiction by weight-lifting, spinning, and taking yoga classes..

Chris Evans
Vice President

• Born and raised in the heart of the DC area's I270 Technology Corridor, Chris Evans has more than 20 years experience in both technical recruiting and hardware-related sales and marketing. Chris received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland in 1979 before pursuing an accomplished career in technical sales, marketing, customer support and management with an international electronics firm. In this capacity he has earned numerous customer satisfaction and President's Club awards. 
  
  Since joining SPCI in 1989, Chris has applied his outstanding customer relations and technical skills to expand SPCI's client/applicant base more than four-fold. He has also been instrumental in transforming SPCI from a leading regional search firm to the nation's premier search and contracting firm for IBM systems management professionals. 
  
  Chris keeps his technical knowledge current through regular attendance of CICS, DB2, and ADSM/TSM user group meetings. He has also completed several networking and programming classes at Montgomery College and attended systems-related MVS and CICS overview courses.

Chris Renaldo
Technical Recruiter

• A native of Wayne, NJ, Chris Renaldo graduated from the University of Maryland with a BA in History in 1984. He has seventeen plus years technical recruiting experience in both contingency/fee paid and retained executive search markets.  Chris began his recruiting career in 1986, after two years as a staff fundraiser for the Northern New Jersey District Office of a large national non-profit organization. Early in his recruiting career, Chris's area of expertise was the recruitment of technical professionals with high level (Top Secret/Polygraph) Government security clearance for Maryland, Washington, DC and Northern Virginia Federal Government Defense and Intelligence community contractors.
  
  Upon relocating to Atlanta in 1988, Chris shifted the focus of his recruiting to the Systems Management needs of metro Atlanta headquartered employers such as Turner Broadcasting Systems, Coca Cola Corporation, Home Depot, SunTrust Services Corporation, Bank of America, Bell South, John H. Harland Corporation, Ernst and Young, and The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.  During his tenure in Atlanta, Chris has staffed positions in IBM Systems Programming, Technical Sales Support, DASD Administration, Database Administration, and Performance/Capacity Analysis.
  
  In addition to contingency search services, Chris has provided hourly contract research services for large international retained executive search firms. He has also provided beta testing and software Quality Assurance services for a proprietary online instant messaging retail sales application.
  
  Chris is also a freelance writer. His columns and op-ed pieces have been published in Time Magazine, Details, Entertainment Weekly and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
