Junior/Mid-Level CICS Systems Programmer - Suburban Washington, DC

CICS Systems Programmer - Midwest Data Center

A great opportunity exists at a very stable Midwest end user for an experienced CICS systems programmer with solid z/OS fundamentals. Qualified applicants must have experience installing, monitoring, and supporting Transaction Server (4.x a plus) as well as a background in CICS-related troubleshooting, performance analysis, and OEM product support. Experience with WebSphere MQ (MQSeries) queue management, DB2/CICS interface, or threadsafe is highly desirable. Salary to the low six figures plus incentives. CICS Systems Programmer - Maryland Location

An immediate opportunity exists for an experienced CICS systems programmer to join an established company in the mid-Atlantic region to support a large CICS environment. Qualified candidates will be experienced in installation, maintenance and support of CICS/TS running under z/OS. Experience with CTG, CICS Interdependency Analyzer, Omegamon XE, AbendAid and InterTest are highly desirable. Knowledge of DB2, WebSphere MQ (WMQ), and/or WebSphere Application Server (WAS) would also be considered plusses. Additional desired skills include Assembler coding, performance monitoring, troubleshooting and program product installation and maintenance using SMP/E. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with a conversion salary to the mid $80s. Although non-local candidates will be considered, no relo assistance is provided.
