Senior/Lead CICS/MQ Systems Programmer - Respected Midwest End User

An Ohio end user is seeking to add an experienced systems programmer to their CICS/MQSeries support team. Required experience includes: in-depth systems support of CICS Transaction Server (v. 4 and above) and mainframe WebSphere MQ (v. 6 and above); installation and support of system software using SMP/E; excellent systems-level troubleshooting (IPCS); and the ability to lead projects and mentor junior staff members. Expertise with any of the following will be a definite plus: WebSphere MQ Queue Sharing, Comm Server (APPN, SNA, TCP/IP, DVIPA), Omegamon, MacKinney Batch for CICS, UNIX Systems Services, REXX, or Assembler. A comprehensive benefits package includes three weeks vacation, matching 401k, stock purchase/profit sharing plans, and life/health insurance as well as several unique industry-specific benefits. Lead/Senior CICS Systems Programmer - North Carolina

A respected and stable end user seeks an experienced CICS systems programmer with good project management, leadership, and mentoring skills. Qualified applicants must have experience installing and supporting Transaction Server (4.x/5.x a plus) as well as a background in CICS-related troubleshooting (MainView, IPCS a plus), performance analysis, and OEM product support. Experience with CICS Transaction Gateway (CTG), exit coding/maintenance, WebSphere MQ/CICS interfaces, TCP/IP, or DB2 is a plus. This person will take a leadership role in an upcoming CICS/TS 4.2 to 5.2 migration. Our client offers a base salary up to $125k plus excellent health, dental and retirement benefits. Although a fulltime telecommute is not available at this time, it is possible to work from home one or two days per week.

CICS Systems Programmer - Low Cost of Living Area

An Arkansas end user has an immediate need for an experienced CICS systems programmer with a strong z/OS background. Qualified applicants will have a solid CICS skill set that includes CICS installation, upgrades, maintenance, troubleshooting and tuning. This person will provide the primary support for CICS/TS 5.1. Experience with the fundamentals of z/OS support, including expert SMP/E skills and program product support, is also a must. Exposure to TCP/IP, DB2, or WebSphere MQ is a plus. CICS and/or DB2 Systems Programmer - Committed to the Mainframe

A Southeast U.S. end user has a great opportunity for an experienced mainframe systems programmer with CICS or DB2 expertise (preferably both). This person will assist with the installation, maintenance, tuning, and support of CICS, DB2 and all associated program products. Qualified applicants will have an MVS background that includes a minimum of two years of relevant CICS or DB2 systems experience and a total of five or more years of mainframe-oriented systems support. Strong SMP/E and good troubleshooting skills are a must. Experience with I/O tuning, z/VM, Linux, MQSeries, networking (VTAM, TCP/IP), ChangeMan ZMF, or CA/Compuware product knowledge is a significant plus. Senior Product Developer - CICS and VSAM Internals

A great opportunity exists with a Northeast U.S. end user for a mainframe systems programmer with expertise in CICS and WebSphere MQ (aka, MQSeries, WMQ). Our New England based client has an immediate need for someone with a strong background in the support of these two z/OS subsystems. Qualified applicants will have experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and tuning CICS and WebSphere MQ in a large production environment. Additional expertise installing and utilizing CICS/MQ-related third party tools and monitoring packages is also required. Exposure to DB2 is a big plus.
