| A successful supplier of IT services to the Federal Government is branching into new territories and seeks to add three to four senior systems engineers to a new professional services team. These SEs will participate in pre-sales related activities for customers looking to migrate or consolidate enterprise level data centers. Responsibilities include: Identifying and pursuing sales opportunities; Meeting with clients to develop project questions, gaining an understanding of the environment; and assuring proposed project plans can be implemented. Assignments will focus on data center sourcing (e.g. hardware, software, and methodologies) with the candidates conducting primary research, including market surveys of vendors and users, preparing recommendations based on research, and presenting them clients. Strong presentation skills as well as Project/People management skills are essential. Working knowledge of the following areas is highly desired: Data center migrations, relocations, and consolidation; z/OS, z/VM-z/Linux, UNIX, Windows; VMware; enterprise storage architecture including SAN and LAN/WAN network technologies; and ITIL methodologies. These high visibility positions are excellent opportunities to bring your current skills to a new company and be correspondingly rewarded as you help develop a new business division. Base salary to 140K, depending on experience, plus bonus. There is a strong preference for initial hires to be based in the Washington, DC area. | |

Selected candidate will be responsible for installation, performance monitoring, capacity planning and support for a large, 24x7 enterprise mainframe tape and document archiving environment. Responsibilities will focus on deploying disaster recovery/business continuity and data replication solutions as well as attaching and configuring enterprise disk storage and Storage Area Networks. Familiarity with Brocade, SUN Solaris and HDS TagmaStore and Lightning products is highly desirable as is prior S/E experience working for HDS, IBM, EMC or STK.
