| Our client has a contract-to-perm position for a seasoned DB2 Systems Programmer with a Federal government agency in Northern VA. Successful candidates will have a minimum of seven years experience supporting DB2 subsystems in an enterprise environment. Experience with the following is essential: Installation and migration of DB2 and DB2 subsystems across LPARs using SMP/E; Applying DB2 PTFs and PUT levels; and Installing patches for UDB and DB2 Connect on Win NT/2K platforms. Additional responsibilities include: performance monitoring, diagnosis and tuning and working with DBAs and application teams to provide application SQL review and systems performance improvement suggestions. Familiarity with the following is a definite plus: DB2 UDB V8, DB2 Connect V8, QMF, SPUFI, IBM DB2 Tools Suite, IBM DB2 utility suite, DB2 Estimator, DB2 Visual Explain, DB2 P/M, TMON/DB2, TMON/MVS, TMON/CICS, Opertune, and BMC/MainView DB2.
