| Are you considered an MVS I/O guru? A leading software vendor has an immediate need for an exceptionally good assembler product developer with expert knowledge of MVS internals. Qualified applicants will have experience developing mainframe software products for a commercial software vendor and be expert in areas such as IOS subsystems, allocation/de-allocation, catalog internals, system exits, multi-tasking, FRRs, resource serialization, and real-time locking techniques. The primary focus of this position is the design and development of extremely complex system-level code for our client's most important product. Salary to $200k for the right person. | A successful independent software vendor seeks an experienced mainframe product developer with strong DB2 internals and expert assembler coding skills. All applicants must have demonstrated DB2 systems knowledge (IFCID processing a plus) with additional expertise in z/OS internals, 64-bit coding, cross-memory services, and systems-level troubleshooting (IPCS, XDC). Previous commercial software development experience is an absolute requirement. Experience architecting a product or major product feature is highly desirable. Salary commensurate with experience. | |
