Mainframe Systems Programmer - Washington, DC Suburbs

A great opportunity exists with a stable end user for an experienced systems programmer with rudimentary z/OS skills. Qualified applicants will have utilized REXX, CLIST, and ISPF panel customization for automating mainframe-related processes and have experience installing non-SMP/E formatted ISV products. Expertise with Change Management products (ChangeMan, Endevor, etc.), XML, DB2, CICS, or assembler is a big plus. This person will learn and assist with all aspects of change management product installation, customization, report generation, auditing, process management, security, and support. Senior z/OS Systems Programmer - Midwest Datacenter

A midwest-based end user has an immediate need for a senior systems programmer to provide z/OS and program product support for a large multi-LPAR, multi-CPU environment. Desired experience includes: configuration of z/OS operating system and major subsystems; installation, customization and maintenance of z/OS and related program products using SMP/E; and strong problem analysis and resolution skills. Experience supporting CA-1, Endevor, OPS/MVS, CA-View and Deliver, SYSVIEW, File-Aid, Abend-Aid, Xpediter, and/or Strobe is a definite plus. The ability to work independently is essential. Senior z/OS Product Developer - Work from Home

An internationally known software vendor has a high profile product development position available for someone with solid z/OS internals and very strong 390/assembler coding skills. This person will be a key individual in the design and development of new features and releases for an acclaimed z/OS product line. Qualified applicants will have in-depth experience with MVS supervisor services, access registers, cross memory services, and data management facilities. Exceptional troubleshooting skills are also required, which should include heavy SVC dump analysis (IPCS) and GTF traces. Other desirable skills (preferred but not required) include a background in 64-bit addressing, C/C++, socket programming, TCP/IP, and VTAM. This person will be highly visible to upper level managers, customers, and the z/OS community in general.
