Qualified applicants will have experience developing mainframe software products for a commercial software vendor and be expert in areas such as IOS subsystems, allocation/de-allocation, catalog internals, system exits, multi-tasking, FRRs, resource serialization, and real-time locking techniques. The primary focus of this position is the design and development of extremely complex system-level code for our client's most important product. Salary to $200k for the right person. | A Mississippi end user has a great opportunity for an experienced z/OS systems programming generalist. This person will assist with installation, maintenance and support of z/OS and all associated sub-systems and program products. Qualified applicants will have an MVS background that includes a minimum of five years of relevant systems experience. Strong SMP/E and advanced troubleshooting skills are a must. Experience with I/O tuning, z/VM, Linux, CICS, DB2, MQSeries, networking (VTAM, TCP/IP), ChangeMan ZMF, or CA/Compuware product knowledge is significant plus.
