z/OS Systems Programmer - Midwest End User

Lead/Senior z/OS Systems Programmer - Kansas Data Center

A nationally known end user has an immediate need for a lead or senior systems programmer to support its z/OS infrastructure. This person will be responsible for planning and executing a z/OS 2.1 upgrade while providing project leadership relating to subsystems such as CICS, DB2, and Comm Server. Senior z/OS-z/VM Systems Programmer - Mid-Atlantic Region

Our mid-Atlantic area client needs to add a systems programmer to support their rapidly growing and state-of-the-art mainframe environment. These technicians will be responsible for all aspects of z/OS and z/VM support, including installation, maintenance and troubleshooting. Proven experience installing recent z/OS releases is required along with some experience in systems-level support of z/VM. Additional expertise with z/Linux, HCD, SNA and TCP/IP network configuration, RACF and REXX are definite plusses. A strong background in Disaster Recovery planning and testing is also highly desirable. U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance are required. Mainframe Systems Programmer - Possible Telecommute

A very stable Southeast U.S. end user has a unique opportunity for a z/OS generalist with two or more years of mainframe systems programming experience in a z/OS environment. Qualified applicants will have good z/OS systems fundamentals that includes solid SMP/E installation/maintenance experience. Senior z/OS Systems Programmer - Long Term 1099 or W2 Contract

A Nebraska-based mainframe shop seeks a senior z/OS contractor to maintain and enhance their z/OS 2.1 operating system and related subsystems. Qualified applicants will have solid mainframe systems programming skills that include previous z/OS installs and strong SMP/E skills. Excellent system-level troubleshooting is also a must. Good DFSMS-managed storage expertise, while not required, would be a significant plus. Other desirable skills include experience with performance tuning, WLM, I/O configuration (HCD, HMC), UNIX System Services (USS), and mainframe security (RACF). This is a three year minimum contract with likely extensions well into the future. Hourly rate commensurate with experience. No telecommuting is available for this opportunity.
