| A successful supplier of IT services to the Federal Government is branching into new territories and seeks to add three to four senior systems engineers to a new professional services team. These SEs will participate in pre-sales related activities for customers looking to migrate or consolidate enterprise level data centers. Responsibilities include: Identifying and pursuing sales opportunities; Meeting with clients to develop project questions, gaining an understanding of the environment; and assuring proposed project plans can be implemented. Assignments will focus on data center sourcing (e.g. hardware, software, and methodologies) with the candidates conducting primary research, including market surveys of vendors and users, preparing recommendations based on research, and presenting them clients. Strong presentation skills as well as Project/People management skills are essential. Working knowledge of the following areas is highly desired: Data center migrations, relocations, and consolidation; z/OS, z/VM-z/Linux, UNIX, Windows; VMware; enterprise storage architecture including SAN and LAN/WAN network technologies; and ITIL methodologies.
