| A lower Manhattan end user has an immediate need for a DB2/IMS Systems Programmer. Qualified candidates must have an Associate's Degree (Bachelor's preferred) and at least five years experience installing and maintaining DB2 and IMS in a z/OS environment. Additional experience with CICS/TS, MQSeries, and Disaster Recovery is also a plus. Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in mainframe software installation (SMP/E), troubleshooting and diagnosis, and performance analysis. Candidates must also be familiar with mainframe ISV software (CA-Insight for DB2, BMC Recovery Manager, BMC LoadPlus, BMC Alter, etc.) and IBM program products (Log Analyzer, File Manager, Fault Analyzer, IMS System Specialist, etc.). This person will provide 24/7 support for Database Administration, Operations and Applications Programming groups, and perform occasional off-hours software installations, upgrades and testing. | An established supplier of storage systems integration solutions for Federal, State and Local government clients has an immediate need for an experienced Systems Engineer to support customers in the NY to Boston corridor. Responsibilities include designing, attaching and configuring enterprise disk storage in NT, Open Systems, and S/390 environments. Storage solutions will focus on Enterprise-wide Storage, Disaster Recovery, Server Consolidation, Business Continuance, email archival, and Fault Tolerance. Preference will be given to candidates experienced in working with HDS, IBM, EMC and/or STK storage solutions. All candidates must be thoroughly familiar with or Storage Area Networking (SAN) technology. This person will manage storage activity across all platforms (z/OS, UNIX/Linux, Windows) and monitor/manage storage utilization for DASD, SAN and SRM backup/recover activities. Qualified applicants must have five-plus years of diverse storage management experience which includes IBM (ESS, TSM) EMC (Symmetrix, Clariion), Sun/Storage Tek, InRange, etc., and the proven ability to design/implement backup and recovery approaches and procedures to ensure the attainment of corporate service levels. Applicants must also demonstrate proficiency in the use of a variety of storage management and platform specific backup and recovery utilities (SMS, ABARS, etc.).
