| A stable and well-known end user with a data center in North Georgia has an immediate opening for a Senior Network Security Engineer to oversee the configuration, installation, testing, monitoring and debugging of business protection assets and network security infrastructure, and the establishment/enforcement of security processes and procedures in a 24x7 environment. Qualified applicants must have 8-10 years of hands-on experience including HIPS (Host-based Intrusion Protection Systems), Firewalls, Buffer Overflows, advanced hacks, Network Intrusion Protection, and Web Application Firewalls for a variety of platforms/operating environments (TCP/IP, XML gateways, and UNIX/Solaris/LINUX, servers). Detailed knowledge of security operations/architecture, network/internet security products (Symantec, BlueCoat, Checkpoint, Citrix, TCPdump, etc.), Perl/shell scripting, and the ability to work alone and/or lead/manage multiple projects is also required. | A well-known end user with data centers in Northern NJ and Omaha, NE is looking for an experienced Systems Engineer with an extensive z/VM and z/Linux background to evaluate new technologies and develop standards and practices for z-based applications. Qualified candidates will combine 5+ years updating, maintaining and tuning z/VM and IFLs, SMP/E, I/O configurations, z-based applications, and a solid understanding of client/server architectures and technologies. This person will provide expert advice and counsel to management and end users via detailed technical presentations using tool such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Presentation, Project, and Visio. Our client offers a generous six figure base salary, bonus and an exceptional benefits package. The preference is to staff this opening at the NJ location, but applicants interested in Omaha will be considered as well. All candidates must have strong skills in monitoring and tuning system resources in a large enterprise environment. This is a state-of-the-art datacenter that utilizes z/OS, AIX, Client/Server, Windows and Web platforms. Performance tuning expertise on a distributed platform (AIX and Linux) is required. Knowledge of mainframe and/or Windows platforms is a definite plus. Experience with project management, SAS PC, load testing, DB2 UDB, MQSeries, or application performance is also highly desirable. Successful candidates will have proven experience with technical presentations, design, and implementation of enterprise storage solutions for public sector and government clients. The ideal candidate for this position will be experienced in the deployment of disaster recovery/business continuity replication solutions and Storage Area Networks. Experience with Hitachi Disk and Sun Tape technology is highly desirable. Knowledge of VMWare and HBA is a definite plus. Preference will be given to candidates with active government clearances.
