Pre-Sales Enterprise Systems Engineers - Make your mark!

A successful supplier of IT services to the Federal Government is branching into new territories and seeks to add three to four senior systems engineers to a new professional services team. These SEs will participate in pre-sales related activities for customers looking to migrate or consolidate enterprise level data centers. Responsibilities include: Identifying and pursuing sales opportunities; Meeting with clients to develop project questions, gaining an understanding of the environment; and assuring proposed project plans can be implemented. Assignments will focus on data center sourcing (e.g. hardware, software, and methodologies) with the candidates conducting primary research, including market surveys of vendors and users, preparing recommendations based on research, and presenting them clients. Strong presentation skills as well as Project/People management skills are essential. Working knowledge of the following areas is highly desired: Data center migrations, relocations, and consolidation; z/OS, z/VM-z/Linux, UNIX, Windows; VMware; enterprise storage architecture including SAN and LAN/WAN network technologies; and ITIL methodologies. These high visibility positions are excellent opportunities to bring your current skills to a new company and be correspondingly rewarded as you help develop a new business division. Base salary to 140K, depending on experience, plus bonus. There is a strong preference for initial hires to be based in the Washington, DC area.

Senior z/OS Generalist - Six-Figure Salary

A small Pacific Northwest data center is in need of an MVS systems programmer with a broad systems background to maintain and enhance their z/OS 1.11 system and all associated subsystems. This person will be a senior member of a four-person team responsible for support of z/OS, DB2, CICS, and Comm Server. Qualified applicants will have solid mainframe systems programming skills that include operating system installation, migration (going to 1.13 soon), and maintenance (SMP/E), I/O configuration, and exposure to supporting mainframe databases (DB2 preferred). Other desirable skills include networking (VTAM, TCP/IP), performance monitoring (SMF, RMF), troubleshooting (IPCS, TMON), and CICS support. This is a great opportunity for a generalist who thrives in a smaller environment. and looks good wearing a variety of hats. Senior DB2 Database Administrator - Washington State

An established Washington State end user is looking for an experienced DBA to enhance, monitor, and support mainframe DB2 regions. Qualified applicants must have experience in database performance, problem determination/resolution, database integrity/security, backup and recovery, and Disaster Recovery planning/testing. Additional expertise installing (SMP/E) and maintaining DB2 third-party products is highly desirable. This position offers a great overall compensation package, including a target base salary in the low $100s. Relocation available.
